ARGUS AND PATRIOT - "Vershire Vagaries" 15 Nov 1899 - James Straw sold his farm, stock, tools etc. at auction last Saturday. He expects to leave town. 20 Dec 1899 - James Straw has purchased the brick house at the village owned by L. L. Robinson. 2 May 1900 -James Straw is in Boston for treatment of his eyes.

Anne Straw on Rootsweb Message Board - 12 Dec 2003 This is a rather late reply to your message posted on 9/25/02 but I believe the James Straw and Caroline Tracy that you mentioned were my gggrandparents. My records show James born 10/4/1837, died 3/22/1919 married Caroline 10/11/1865; Caroline born 8/7/1834, died 7/16/1919; son Fred married Edith Lake 8/14/1905 and had Walter A., Evelyn, Avis M. and Everett Straw. I have more information on this family if interested.
