per research of Sue Phaneuf: The only Jonathan that shows up in the 1850 census is Jonathan Jones Straw, Levi's son. So, unless he went by middle name, chances are he died before 1850.

In Deering, Mr. Jonathan Straw, Jr, a promising and industrious young man, in the 25th year of his age. He had been married two weeks only before his death.

I believe he married his first cousin Huldah Straw as both are buried in same cemetery.

In the 1830 census of Deering, NH he may be the male age 20-29 and living with his Uncle Jonathan and Aunt Hepzibah and their daughter Huldah age 20-29. Jonathan's father died 1826...the rest of that family appears to have remained in Vermont

Because he did not marry until 1833 [and died same year] he does not appear in any census as a HOH [head of household.]

Jonathan married Huldah Straw, daughter of Jonathan Straw and Hepzibath Bartlett, on 9 May 1833 in Weare, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire. (Huldah Straw was born on 14 Feb 1808, died on 25 Dec 1842 in Deering, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire and was buried in Old Sleeper Cemetery in Francestown, New Hampshire.). The cause of her death was consumption.
