Charles Titcomb, b. in Newburyport, 1798, the son of Charles Titcomb. He enlisted in the army in the war of 1812, under the name of Stickney, was wounded; and on the Pension list of 1840, his name appears as "Charles Stickney, aged 42, lives Grafton, Grafton Co., N. H." He m. Lucy, dau. of Moses Straw and r. in Canaan, N. H. His children who bear the name of Stickney, are (1) William Welch. (2) Charles. (3) Sarah, m. Daniel Steele of Thornton. (4) Moses; d. y. (5) Lucinda, m. Eben Bennet; r. in Illinois. (6) Daniel. (7) John; unm. per Stickney Family Index

Charles married Lucy Straw, daughter of Moses Straw and Mary, about 1821. (Lucy Straw was born in 1800 in Canaan, Grafton County, New Hampshire and died after 1850.)
