After the death of Henry G. Chick, my third husband, to satisfy a desire of my children by my second husband George T. Lawrence, I had my name changed back to "LAWRENCE" by decree of the Probate Court, Carroll County, NH under date of September 3, 1895. I file herewith a certified copy of the decree. The soldier never served in the army or navy of the United States prior to August 14, 1862.
I have no property either real, personal or mixed and have had no income from any source since May 7, 1902. I depend upon my daughter and her husband for my support. No one is legally bound to support me.[Elizabeth Lawrence signature]"

Elizabeth next married George T. Lawrence, son of Samuel Lawrence and Unknown, on 9 May 1868 in Laconia, Belknap County, New Hampshire. (George T. Lawrence was born on 30 Apr 1823 in Tamworth, Carroll County, New Hampshire, died on 20 Apr 1885 in Sandwich, Carroll County, New Hampshire and was buried in Baptist Burial Ground in Center Sandwich, Carroll County, New Hampshire.)
