Straw was born on 27 Aug 1829 in Thornton, Grafton County, New Hampshire, died on 1 Dec 1914 in Chelsea, Suffolk County, Massachusetts and was buried in Oak Grove Cemetery Medford, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA.). The cause of his death was pyloric obstruction due to old duodenal ulcer.
Sarah next married James Monroe Tobey, son of Capt. William Tobey and Temperance Mitchell, in 1864-1867.
