ELMUS V. TUNIS Elmus V. Tunis, former resident of the Winamac Vicinity, passed away Saturday afternoon at Hartford, Mich., following a few days illness. Funeral services were held at Watervliet, Mich., on Tuesday and the body was brought to Winamac for burial in the cemetery here. Eighty-one years of age, Mr. Tunis was a native pf Pulaski county, a son of Mr.and Mrs. Joseph Tunis. On January 8, 1883, he was married to Miss Cordelia Sorrell and her death occurred in 1912. Surviving are eight children-Charles of Grand Junction, Mich., Mrs. Bertha Shenham of Detroit, Melvin Tunis and Mrs. Nellie St. Marie of Van Dyke, Mich., Cliford of Logansport, Frank of Momence, Ill., Mrs. Olive Johnson of Berrien Springs, Mich., Cecil of Winamac; twenty-one grandchildren. One son, Guy was killed the first World War during the Battle of Marne.
