Lydia [sister of Jacob Jr] m. Abel Hadley with a son named Dr. Samuel Straw Hadley b. Hopkinton, NH 3 May 1783. Dr. Straw m.(2 Dec 1808) Margaret Whitman Gibson who was born in Henniker, NH 19 March 1792 the d/o Capt Timothy Gibson and Margaret Whitman. Dr. Hadley lived in Brownville, ME and Sparta, IL (at time of marriage); he died Sparta, IL 7 June 1862. His wife Margaret d. New Sharon, LA 27 Feb 1873 and is bur in Robins Cem in WATAGA, IL

She moved from Rowley , MA to Weare, NH about 1760 with her parents. The Straws then moved to Hopkinton, NH

She may be the one female in Simeon's HH in Canaan, NH in 1810 who is born 1766-1784; her son Jacob also in Canaan has no female her age in his HH and dau Lydia is now Mrs Carlton.

Lydia married Abel Hadley, son of Amos Hadley and Dorothy Sargent. (Abel Hadley was born circa 1764 in Dunbarton, Merrimack County, New Hampshire and died in 1813 in Canaan, Grafton County, New Hampshire.)
