Warren WHITCHER Straw...... Warren (We call him Sid) was born in Waitsfield, Vermont. He was married to Elizabeth Daigle. Elizabeth died, but I do not have the date. Sid has 2 sons: Damon Warren Straw b. 20 Oct 1956 and Glenn Warren Straw b. Dec 1957. Sid is living in Buffalo, N.Y. and vacations in Florida during the winter months.[Fenton Ralph LaVanway via e-mail March 2008]

- Warren Whitcher "Sid" Straw, 87, died Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2010, at Rutland Regional Medical Center.
He was born June 29, 1923, in Warren. He was the last living son of Clarence C. and Edith Damon Straw, the 13th of 14 brothers and sisters, and the seventh son.
He served in the Air Transport Command from 1943 to 1946 in Alaska and Europe.
He retired at age 62, following 32 years of employment at Telescope Casual Furniture in Granville, N.Y., where he also served as union representative.
Survivors include two sons, Damon Warren Straw and Glen Warren Straw; three grandsons, two great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by Elizabeth M. Daigle Nadeau Straw.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Dec. 24, 2010, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, NY.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
