1821 the families of Peter and Elizabeth Bowsher became the early settlers of Wyandot County. Knapp's History of the Maumee Valleu, dated 1872, says "Among the pioneers of the county was Peter Bowsher, who, with his son Robert, commenced his residence in Pitt Township, then Crawford County, on the fourth of June, 1821. The son first named is now a resident of Upper Sandusky, and two other sons, Anthony and Solomon, are also residents of the county." [Ref: Burkhardt BOUCHER p107]

1833: made a trip back to Berks County, PA, mostly by foot, and visited the old homestead of Daniel, and his uncle, Peter Bausher, in Windsor Twp [Ref: Burkhardt BOUCHER p109]

1850: farmer in Mifflin Twp, real estate worth $1200 [Ref: Harter REICHELDERFER p115]
