Albert W. Thompson was stricken with cerebral hemorrhage today.
"...expert engineer and life long resident of this city..died Saturday at his home in his 67th year. [stroke] last Monday. Born Charlestown 16 Feb 1874..shortly after his family moved here where his father was engaged in business....parents Henry M and Ellen Straw Thompson..attended Lowell public schools, St. Paul's School in Concord, N H...M IT class of 1894...MS degree....employed mechanical department in Amoskeag Mills in Manchester, NH..reached position of Superintendent of machine shop...in 1911 took charge of Lowell Machine Shop in Lowell...associated with G. M. Parks co of Fitchburg...afterward Parks-Cramer Co with ofcs in Boston [was VP there when he died]...married twice -first m. Hildreth Nesmith who died in 1928 [d/o Thomas and Florence Nesmith dec] one son Nesmith who d 1938..he was member of Yorick Vesper Country and literary clubs of this city and the University and Union Clubs of Boston...member of Megantic Fish and Game Club and the American Society of Mechanical Engineers. Married Miss Helen B. Webster in 1930
