bullet  General Notes:

Place of birth per research of K. Kennedy
Date of birth per Albany Evening Journal article dated 21 June 1910
"Mrs, Agnes Foster celebrated her 75th birthday last evening" - this would mean she was born 20 June 1835 if the celebration was held on the actual date of her birthday. In the article, Agnes claimed she was 18 years old when she and her husband came to this country. (c1853)
Thru research of K. Kennedy who went to Ireland and visited her birthplace and interviewed descendants of her's, it was discovered that Agnes was baptized 7 Oct 1831.... so Agnes was older than she was admitting.
She was Winifred Agnes but commonly called Agnes.
Agnes and William probably married in Ireland and came directly to Albany while the rest of Agnes's Mullen family located in Yonkers. (Later they relocated to Williamstown, MA) William being a "ship's carpenter" most likely sought work in Albany while other members of the Mullen family remained in Yonkers, NY.

By 1900, Agnes [b. 3/1835] is the HOH living with Patrick [3/1868], Mary [11/1866], Agnes [5/1870] and Dana [3/1877]. Grand dtr Agnes Farley [can't really read it], born 5/1886 is with them. They are still at the 225 Orange St address.
Son Joseph [b. 7/1873] and his wife Mary Degnan [3/1873, NY] live nearby along with Mary's grandmother Catherine Murphy and Mary's brother Lewis

1910 in 12-Wd Albany, Albany, NY; still at 225 Orange St; Agnes says she had 11 children, 6 of whom are still alive. Patrick [salesman], Richard [printer], Mary M., Agnes [teacher] and Anna Farley [granddtr; cashier] are living with her
