1. ISAAC NICHOLAS1 ALLEN (RICHARD W.A) was born April 14, 1861 in Kalamazoo, Kalamazoo Co., Michigan, and died October 29, 1935 in Alba, Antrim Co., Michigan At His Farm. He married DORA GOOSEBERRY September 17, 1892 in Bellaire, Antrim Co., Michigan, daughter of JOSEPH GOOSEBERRY/DESGROSEILLIERS and MARIAH WILSON. She was born September 18, 1878 in Sciota, Clinton Co., New York, and died June 28, 1953 in Omaha, Douglas Co., Nebraska.

Isaac N. Allen, Age 74, In Alba for 50 Years Passes on Tuesday
The death of Isaac Nicholas Allen occurred at his farm home east of Alba on October 29, 1936, after an illness lasting for several years. His age was 74 years, 5 months and 15 days.
He has lived in Alba and vicinity for the past 50 years.
He was born at Kalamazoo, Michigan, April 14, 1861 son of Richard and Elisabeth Lebar Allen.
He was united in marriage September 17,1892, to Miss Dora Gooseberry, who survives.
Four children were born to this union, Clara Mary, who was Mrs Chas. Brown deceased; Maud now Mrs Fred Bisnett, of Omaha, Nebraska; and twins a daughter Pearl and son Earl who died in infancy; and four grandchildren also survive.
The faithful wife has carried on the farm work as well as his care since his health failed.
Funeral services were held today, Thursday at 3 p.m. at the lates home East of Alba, Rev. F.M. Love officiating, burial in Alba Cemetery.


Supposedly Isaac Allen was struck by lightening and lived for a few years after.
