I am looking for information on my Great Uncles, Eli and Jim Nichols. I know that Eli was born in Michigan around 1882+/- and that Jim probably was born in Michigan also. Based on the 1900 and 1910 census Eli was living with his father and stepmother in Oklahoma (1900-Alva, Woods Co., OK. 1910-Ponca City, Kay Co., OK). I also know that by 1915 their father, George Nichols was living in Douglas Co., Nebraska. I believe that their mothers name was Carrie Bovee, but I still need a little more evidence to prove that. Their stepmothers name was Dora Straw. I am hoping to find a marriage record for either or both to prove/disprove their mothers name. I do not know if Jim ever lived in Oklahoma, and I do not know if Eli ever moved out of Oklahoma. So the latest info I have is Eli, being 26, living with his father and stepmother in Kay Co., OK in 1910.
