"I believe MK was Mabel Kronkright.... Charles is buried in Oregon, I believe."
My husband is a descendant of the Straw family. Charles married Mabel Kronkright 7 Dec 1886 , and he died 5 August 1927 in Woodburn Oregon. I believe he is buried in Belle Passi Cemetery, along with his wife, Mabel. Mabel was born in Iowa, and she died in Portland, Oregon. I have their marriage certificate and their death certificates, if you would like me to mail you copies. Perhaps you could help me. I am trying to figure out who was the grandfather of Charles. His father was Oril/Orrel/Oral... and mother was Sarah Larkin. On a 1850 census from Bucyrus Ohio, I find Oril as a son to an O. Straw, born in New Hampshire and Zada is listed as the wife. But I believe the O Straw was married first to Rosetta Main and then Zada Babcock... I would like to find O Straw, grandfather to Charles, and father to Orel and William. Let me know if I can help you anymore. And please advise if you have more info on where these Straws came from. Thank you, Althea Kriz

Thank you for the website....
In the meantime, I wanted to inform you why I mentioned Rosetta Main as the wife before Zada Babcock, for Orrel Straw. I had a copy of an obituary and death certificate of William Straw, son of Orrel, and Rosetta is listed in both as his mother, with Orrel as father. Now that I have viewed your website, I noticed that there are some Rosettes and Rosettas on the name list. Have any idea of the confusion or coincidence?
I recently saw the index of marriages for Marion County Ohio, and saw one for Jane Bounds and Oriel....I didn't know if it was the right Oriel... Jane Bounds is the correct spouse/and mother for my husband's ancestors, right?
There was also a land record for Oriel and Alva Straw in that same county about 2-3 years before the marriage. Now I see that Alva was a brother. I also had BLM records for an Orrel Straw for the late 1830's and early 1840's, but have no idea if it is the correct man.
Re: the first wife of Charles F that you mentioned.... I had read the inscriptions for those graves a couple of years ago, and did not even make the connection.
I shall enjoy viewing your site some more, and checking out the wealth of information on it.
Thank you again for you help,
