When he was 2 yrs old (1863), migrated west in covered wagon, to the Snake River
Valley near Boise, where they 1st homesteaded 640 acres (near little town
of Caldwell) and then 2 years later homesteaded another 640 acres in
Nampa another little town a few miles away.
At 18, he came to San Antonio, Texas, after family sold both farms, where
they settled for life.

Served as a minister in the West Texas Conference for approx 40 years,
retired in 1931 from active methodist ministry.
