Dolores Rose Straw was born 19 Feb 1919 at Nebraska City the d/o George Washington Gardner and Jane Elizabeth Gardner. she was united in marriage to James J. Pryor in 1935 at Nebraska City. She later married Jack Straw on 21 August 1947 in MO.
Dolores was a housewife and home maker. She worked at the former Nebraska City Laundry as a presser aand later at Pendleton Woolen Mills as a presser. she was the President of the Amalgamated Clothing Workers Union. She was a former member of the Eagles Auxillary in Nebraska City. She loved to crochet and play bingo and was very active at Duff's Freindship Villa where she made her home the last ten years.
She is survived by two daughters: Lavena Barrett and husband Allen of Nebraska City and Kathryn Martin and husband Richard of Sidney, Iowa; 11 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren.
Funeral services held Monday, 4 Dec 2000 at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City with burial Wyuka Cemetery. Pallbearers were her grandsons: Bob, Doug and Mike Barrett and Ronald, Jeff, Patrick and David Martin.
