(Shirley Erhart via e-mail 15 Sept 2005) "Henry Straw was my husband's grandfather..A 6yr old son William preceded him in death the same yr 1908.His widow Kate ran a boarding house in Anacortes for some time and moved to Tacoma abt 1919.I do not have an obit for her. Son Donald Wade Straw married late, June 1950 but had no children.He died about 1961,in Seattle and is buried in the family plot in Anacortes.His sister Katherine married Henry Bamberger abt 1920..They had no children. She died in Oct 1976..There was no obit.We are soon to bury her ashes in the old Anacortes cemetery. The other child was Madge Eleanor, my children's grandmother.She died in March 26,1983 and had her ashes scattered in Hood canal as were those of her first husband Lee Erhart who died in Shelton Nov 29 1956. I have their obits. Their dau Jean is 81. My former husband Robert Lee Erhart died Dec 10 1994. I just found the death cert for Henry for Skagit Co and he is listed as Harry.. A son of his by an earlier marriage, Richard Straw disappeared around age 20, but I found a CA death notice and SS notice which match his birthdate and place..Oct 11 1967 Oakland.I see your notice was posted a year ago! I saw it on Rootsweb newspaper index. I would be pleased to hear from you and see what the connections are. Sincerely Shirley Erhart"
