On April 22,1922, he was united in marriage to Isabelle [Spittler] Ward and to this union six children were born, one son, Roy Richard, dying in infancy. The others, Walter, Marion and Leon of Riverton; Dorothy of Omaha, and Fanny of Fresno, Calif., survive. On Dec. 10, 1937 he was stricken badly despite all that loving hands and care can do. He was one of a large family of children, the mother and father and all four brothers and sisters preceding him in death. He is survived by his wife, nine children, brothers, Arthur of Nebraska City, Richard, Everett and Frank of Riverton, and one sister, Mrs. Perry Travis of Sidney.
Funeral services were held in the Fleming parental home, now the home of his brothers, Everett and Frank, Tuesday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. D. Payne, pastor of the M. E. church of Riverton. Mrs. Charles Scheizer and Mrs. Leslie Johnson sang the beautiful old songs, "Old Rugged Cross" and "The Keys of Tomorrow." Pallbearers were, Fred Beam, Clifford Beam, Criss Kish, F. M.
