Descendants of William Titcomb" by Gilbert Titcomb (my uncle) has a James on p. 233 that looks like a possibility.
James, son of Samuel Got Titcomb and Severance Straw, b. 1791, Hopkinton, NH; d. 15 Oct. 1871, age 80-5-7; m. Westminster, VT, 10 May 1812, Anna Goold; she d. Westmin"ster, 21 Mar. 1866, age 71 yrs.; they had at least two children:
1. A male infant, d. Westminster VT, 1 July 1812.
2. Ruth, d. Westminster VT, 1 Apr 1895, age 78; unm.
Severence married Samuel Gott Titcomb, son of Moses Titcomb and Elizabeth Gott. (Samuel Gott Titcomb was born on 17 Sep 1769 in Andover, Essex County, Massachusetts.)
