Birth: 6 AUG 1736 in Exeter, Rockingham County, New Hampshire
Death: 11 OCT 1816 in Sanbornton, Belknap County, New Hampshire
Note: Moved very early from Stratham to Sanbornton; made his beginning in a log-house north of the John W. Taylor place, at Clark's Corner, and afterwards built a one-story house on the site of the Taylor residence. He went to the Revolutionary War from this town in the capacity of a carpenter, as it is handed down that his first wife "went to Canterbury to mill on horseback" while he was thus engaged.

John married Abigail Whidden. (Abigail Whidden was born on 10 Mar 1746 and died in Feb 1788 in Sanbornton, Belknap County, New Hampshire.)
