bullet  General Notes:

per Project 21 transcription of 1921 Census of "Clattis Harbor" Ann M. is shown living at home at 2 yrs of age with her parents and one older sister and two older brothers..She is the youngest of the children alive and living at home.
16 January 2002: spoke by phone to her today. She told me about living in Clattice Harbor and St. Kyran's. She knew A. F. O'Connor but she was only 8 yrs old when he went away and does not remember much about him. She told me my grandfather (Timothy Joseph O'Connor) and his second wife Maggie Rawlins Coady Pittman O'Connor were her God Parents. She spent a lot of time with them and knew them well. At present she is 81 and very alert and has an excellent memory and recall of the past.
Jim Rogers (son) lists her DOB as 13 May 1920. He states the census date is in error (2 May 1919).
Anna Marie Connors was married on January 04, 1942 to John Sullivan Rogers, b. Dec 04, 1915 at St. Leonard's Placentia Bay, son of James Rogers and Mary Cecelia (Minnie) Sullivan. Witnesses were Peter Rogers and Mercedes Connors. John Sullivan Rogers died at Lawn, April 20, 1999.
Anna Marie Connors (O'Connor at birth - the name was changed to Connors by Father Antoine Anton Fyme) was born in Clattice Hr NW, May 13, 1920. Her twin sister died at birth. She lived in Clattice Hr. until the family moved to St. Kyran's in 1925. Marie's first teacher was Annie F. Sullivan who was a teacher at St. Kyran's for 40 years.
In 1935, at age 15, with Grade 10 and a C Level teaching certificate, Marie began her teaching career at Isle Valen. For the next seven years, prior to her marriage in 1942, she taught at various communities in Placentia Bay including Toslow and Clattice Hr. In 1956, she resumed her teaching career at St. Peter's School in St. Kyran's, where she taught until she relocated to Lawn on August 19, 1966.
