Edwin Percy Wallsworth, son of Timothy Walsworth and Ann Percy, married (1) Arvilla Lovice Stoddard on 31 December 1863 in Iowa. They divorced on 18 April 1882 and he married (2) Matilda P. (Straw) Hopkins, widow of Perry Dallas Hopkins, on 29 October 1887 in Nevada, Story County, Iowa.

DIED.--Sunday night Ed. Walsworth died at his room on north Linn street near the depot after having been complaining of la grippe for several days. He was alone at the time although a physician attended him late that evening and returned home expecting him to be still all right in the morning. When morning came the room was entered and he was found as indicated. The funeral was held Tuesday from the residence of his sister Mrs. Geo. W. Hall. He leaves a son, Percy, who at this time lives in the city. His age was 59 years.

Edwin married Matilda L. Straw, daughter of Enoch Straw Jr and Betsey Welch, on 29 Oct 1887 in Nevada, Story County, Iowa. (Matilda L. Straw was born on 25 Apr 1844 in Hollis Center, York County, Maine, died on 2 Sep 1910 in DeKalb, DeKalb County, Illinois and was buried in Fairview Cemetery, DeKalb, DeKalb County, Illinois.)
