(S. Phaneuf)"..... checked back on the old census records and found a Samuel Blaisdell born abt 1765 in NH. In 1810, he had a son [16-25] Trueworthy, 3 dtrs <10, one each 10 -15 Martha and 16-25; wife was listed under 26-44. This would fit in nicely since Dorothy Straw was born in 1773..."

Dorothy Blaisdell a resident of Cass County, age 81 yrs declared she was the widow of Samuel Balisdell deceased who was a Private in the Re War [Company and Regiment unknown]..said he served 14 days and was honorably discharged...drew pension of twenty dollars a year...she married him 8 July 1802 in Hopkinton, NH..her name before marriage was Dorothy STRAW..said husband died in Hillsborough County, NH 25 Sept 1840..she made this declaration to obtain bountyland she may be entitiled to under the Act of March 1855..on 22 Apr 1853 she applied for pension [Act of Feb 1853].. all communication to be sent to C. Shnahan in Cassopolis, Cass, MI..[Judge of Probate for Cass Co, MI]

Entered in Salibury MA Service in June 28 1781 was 6 mos [til Jan 6, 1782 ]as a Private under Col Putnam and Gen Nixon and entered on a list 29 Jan 1782 and signed by selectman of Salisbury, MA
