Per obit of 9 March 2005 she is survived by two daughters: Jacklyn (Mrs. Onesimo Rivera) and Peggy (Mrs. ______ Angus) of Nebraska City.; five grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; brothers: Vernon ("Butch") and wife Lee Straw, Richard Straw and wife Sandy; sisters Judy (Mrs. Kenneth Dale Anderson), Marion and husband Dean Taylor.
Preceeded in death by sister Norma Jean (Mrs Donald Cope), infant brother Carl Duane Straw and two brothers in law: Donald Cope and Kenneth Anderson. Services at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City and interment in Wyuka Cemetery. Memorials to American Cancer Society

NEBRASKA CITY - Harriet Ann Gilliland, 68, of Nebraska City, died Wednesday, March 9, 2005, at Beverly Healthcare in Nebraska City.
Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Gude Mortuary in Nebraska City, with the Rev. Jerry Albright officiating. Burial is at Wyuka Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 7-8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Ms. Gilliland was born Aug. 13, 1936, in Peru, to Carl "Shorty" and Gladys (Eirls) Straw. She worked at the former Ocoma Foods Company in Nebraska City, Irene's Cafe, Dammast Clothing, Beverly Healthcare and Kid's Club at the Nebraska City Public School. She worked for 30 years at Pendleton Woolen Mills, primarily as a cutter, and retired from there.
She was a member of the First Christian Church in Nebraska City, the Amalgamated Clothing Worker's Association (A.C.W.A) and served as the Union president at Pendleton.
Survivors include two daughters, Jacklyn (Onesimo) Rivera of Columbus and Peggy Angus of Nebraska City; two brothers, Vernon "Butch" (Lee) Straw of Dunbar and Richard (Sandy) Straw of Nebraska City; two sisters, Judy Anderson and Marion (Dean) Taylor, both of Dunbar; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Norma Jean Cope; and infant brother, Carl Straw.
Memorials are suggested to the American Cancer Society.
