L. Haus, 88, of New Hampton, died Monday, May 3, 1999, at St. Joseph Community Hospital, New Hampton, of natural causes; survivors include his wife, Alice; a daughter, Margaret Tabor of West Des Moines; a son, Robert of West Des Moines; four granddaughters; and two sisters, Agnes Mishak of New Hampton and Mary Webber of Seattle; he was preceded in death by four brothers, Tony, Leo, Matt and Ed; and three sisters, Lena Pickar, Anna Papenheim and Rose Schreder; services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Congregational United Church of Christ, New Hampton, with burial in New Hampton Cemetery; friends may call after 4 p.m. today at Conway Funeral Home, New Hampton, where there will be a 7:30 p.m. Scripture service; visitation also for an hour before services Wednesday at the church; Mr. Haus attended the University of Wisconsin; he served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II, where he was an electronics instructor; he was a dairy farmer in the New Hampton area.
