"John Joseph (Jack) Quinn, age 95 of 508 S. B St., died at Jones Nursing Home Sunday Oct. 5, at 1:45 a.m., following a stay of two months. He was a retired plumber, born in St. Louis, Missouri and residing in Oskaloosa for the past 75 years. Surviving are three daughters, Nell Quinn at home, Mrs. E.B. Waddell of Waukee, and Mrs. Alfred Smith of Fairfield; seven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. Services will be Tuesday, October 7, at 9:00 a.m. at St. Mary Church with Rev. Denis Cahalan in charge. Burial at St. Mary Cemetery. Rosary will be said Monday, Oct. 6, at 7:30 p.m. at Powers Funeral Home."
