Acquired the "Hewed Log Courthouse" and rebuilt it upon
Inlot twenty-six,fronting thebuilding on East Union St.,
where it was burned in 1877. For some years this old
building was used for a post office. Also, court was held
in it till the new court hours was sufficiently completed
to be so used in 1817. (7/17/98-2)

Perkins marrying a Catherine Greene in Washington,OH
on 24 Mar 1802
Eliphaz married Zepporah Porter, daughter of John R. Porter and Sarah Fuller, in 1818 in Athens, Athens County, Ohio. (Zepporah Porter was born on 1 Aug 1796.)
