RUTH ALVERA BREWER PECK
ALVA -- A memorial service for Ruth Alvera Brewer Peck, 80, will be 1 p.m. Monday at Marshall Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Bob Brown will officiate. A private burial will follow in Alva Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are by Marshall Funeral Home.
She was born March 31, 1922, at Alva to Pete and Eliza Wiebe Straw and died Wednesday, May 8, 2002, at Wichita, Kan.
She married Milko Brewer. He died in 1949. Following his death, she made her home in Alva until 1951, when she moved to Wichita where she worked in aircraft factories.
Surviving are one son, Charles L. Brewer of Wichita; three brothers, Gilmer Straw of Enid, Kenneth Straw of Oklahoma City, and Dale Straw of Wichita; four sisters, Leona Smith of Arkansas, Nellie Klein of Wichita, Bernice Koehn of Enid, and Betty French of Alex City, Ala; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
