Mrs. Emma A. KERN died at her home 105, S. Andrew St., at nine o'clock this morning after an illness of three months. She had been in failing health for several years.
She was born Jan. 5, 1876 in Flowerfield township a daughter of Richard and Alice DEWEY BRAYMAN. She had lived her entire life in this community with exception of four years at Lakeside, Berrien county.
She was united in marriage on Oct. 14, 1903 to Wm H. KERN who survives. She has been a Spiritualist for many years.
Besides her husband she is survived by one son, Robert, one daughter, Edna, both at home, two brothers, John of Beloit, Wis., and Edward of Three Rivers, several nieces and nephews and other relatives.
Funeral services will be held at the Haring funeral home Saturday at two o'clock. Interment in Riverside cemetery.
