obit Nellie BRAYMAN RUCHOFT, widow of John RUCHOFT, died at her home two and half miles northwest of Constantine, at nine o'clock this morning after a long illness. She was born in Flowerfield Dec. 16, 1869, a daughter of Richard and Alice (DEWEY) BRAYMAN. She spent the early years of her life in Flowerfield township and attended the Mt. Zion school. On March 16, 1891 she was married to Mr. RUCHOFT who preceded her in death Sept. 21, 1941. She was a member of the Flatbush United Brethren church for many years, and during her residence in Three Rivers attended the Methodist church. She has lived at her late home, near Brick Chapel for nearly 12 years, and had spent her entire life in St. Joseph county. Mrs. RUCHOFT possessed an exceptionally kind and cheerful disposition and had endeared herself to a wide circle of friends. She is survived by a daughter Mrs. Caroline SPADE who had been caring for her mother for a number of months, two grandsons, LuVergne ISAAC, who has lived with Mrs. RUCHOFT for some years and Harold ISAAC, in the U.S. Marine Corps, one sister, Mrs. William KERN of Three Rivers, two brothers, Ed BRAYMAN of Michigan City, Ind., and John BRAYMAN of Beloit, Wis. Funeral services will be held from the Haring funeral home at two o'clock Monday, Rev. Frederick Thurston of Athens officiating. Interment will be made at Riverside. CHANGE HOUR OF FUNERAL Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie RUCHOFT will be held at the Haring funeral home at two thirty Monday instead of two o'clock as stated in Friday's Commercial.
