I'm looking for information on a Louisa Ann Carr, probably born 1793-1799. She lived in Muskingum County, OH and was married to Abner Rouse in 1814....Abner and Louisa Ann(Carr) Rouse had daughters named Roba and Lydia...
I know of one child of Abner and Louisa (Carr) Rouse/Rowse that lived past 1880 so need to find him (Oliver) in the 1880 census to see what place of birth is listed for his mother in order to narrow down the search field for Louisa who died before 1850, probably in Ohio. Her husband had a different wife by 1850 in WI.(cjanke@aol.com)
In March of 1814 a Hezekiah Carr rec'd a land grant of 100 Acres in Muskingum County, Ohio for his services as a drummer in the 3rd regiment of the Maryland Line. Could he be Louisa's father?
Levissa married Abner Rowse, son of Samuel Rows and Lydia Babbit, on 27 Dec 1814 in Guernsey County, Ohio. (Abner Rowse was born on 1 Oct 1792 in Williamstown, Berkshire County, Massachusetts, died on 14 Oct 1874 in Pierce, Kewaunee Co, WI and was buried in Mound Cemetery; block 1 lot 40 in Racine, Wisconsin.)
