Martin Beyer, son of Michael and Marie Beyer, was bora in Baden, Germany.
According to all well-known information, he was the very first "Beyer" emigrant to America. In reality, he was the leader of the remainder of his family for they followed soon after he located in New York City.
He moved from New York City to Northern New York, his last residence being at Great Bend. From here he moved to Misouri.
He was first married to Elizabeth Schiffer, in New York City.
She died when only forty-five years of age in Missouri.
He secondly married Christina Frey, who was seventy-one years of age at the time of her death, in the state of Kansas.
He lived to be eighty-three years and six months. He died in Kansas.
The living children of Martin and Elizabeth Schiffer Beyer are: Moses, Frank, George, Michael, Samuel, Sarah, Rose and Mary.
Henry died in April, 1907.
John Died in June, 1922.
Martin died in February, 1923.
One son, Jacob, was born to Martin and Christina Frey Beyer.
All of Martin Beyer's descendents permanently located in the states of Kansas, Missouri and Illinois, except John Beyer, who was born March 28, 1858, in the town of Croghan.
He married Wilhelmina S. C. Berning, who was born August 15, 1855, in Bremen, Germany. Nearly all of their children located in New York state.
He, secondly married, Sarah Schwendy, April 28, 1907. She was born January 21, 1858, in Croghan, New York, and survives him.
