census Sedalia Democrat, The | Sedalia, Missouri | Monday, March 27, 1950 Mrs. Myrtle Fowler Ross, widow of Monte E. Ross, died at her home in Smithton at 7:00 o'clock Sunday night. Mrs. Ross was born January 3, 1889, in Milwaukee, Wis., the daughter of Samuel and Augusta Fowler, and spent most of her lifein Milwaukee. On July 30, 1925 she was married to Mr. Ross and they resided iin Milwaukee until 1937 when they moved to Moline 111., where they lived eijht years In January 1945 they' went to Smithton to make their home anc on August 25, 1945, Mr. Ross died Since that time Mrs. Ross, hci brother, J. W. Fowler, and her sister, Miss Inez Fowler have made their home together. Mrs. Ross was a teacher of the blind in the Milwaukee public schools for 29 years and was the first teacher of the blind in the public school system of that city. Surviving are her brother, J Wesley Fowler, of Smithton and four sisters. Miss Inez Flowers, of Smithton; Mrs. Jennie Hitchcock of Hollywood, Calif., Mrs. Mona Slater, "of Northvillc, C. D., and Mrs. Ethel Straw, of Milwaukee. Burial will be in the Ottcrvillc cemetery.
