Mocerine, Eloise A. EAST SCHODACK Eloise A. Tennyson Mocerine, 88, formerly of County Route 7, died Wednesday, January 21, 2009 at Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing home. Born in Chestertown, N.Y., she lived in East Schodack most of her life. She retired in 1980 after 21 years with the New York State Department of Health and Research where she was a laboratory worker. She was a member of St. Stephen's Church, East Schodack. Predeceased by her parents, Almeda Persons and Alfred Lord Tennyson; her beloved husband of over 65 years, Thomas A. Mocerine; sisters, Helen Moffitt, Hilda Lorimer, Verna Tennyson, Lavina Ellsworth, Lillian Ostrander, Mary Frisbie; and brother, Vincent Tennyson. Survivors include one daughter, Beverly A. Shuhart and her husband George Shuhart of East Nassau; one son, Ronald R. Mocerine and his wife Patricia A. of Nassau; seven grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Van Rensselaer Manor Nursing Home especially unit C1 for the care and compassion they have shown over the years. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her funeral Monday 10:00 from the Rockefeller Funeral Home, 165 Columbia Tpk., Rensselaer. Interment will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, East Schodack. Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 in the funeral home. Contributions may be made to Activities Department of Van Rensselaer Manor, 85 Bloomingrove Dr., Troy, NY 12180 or Community Hospice of Rensselaer Co., 295 Valley View Blvd., Rensselaer, NY 12144
