David Kosakowski 1948 - 2010 David, loving husband of Dorise Bitton; brother-in-law of Tony and Carole Pazzi; uncle of Ashley and Austin Pazzi; son of Theresa Kosakowski; brother of Paul, Peter, Matthew and James Kosakowski, was born in Albany, NY, and died peacefully in his sleep in Bakersfield, CA after a hard-fought battle with cancer. For 33 years, David was a senior assistant librarian at CSUB; for 28, a founding board member and treasurer of FLICS, Bakersfield's International Cinema Society; and for 23, a CSUB Jazz Festival organizer/coordinator. David received an Emeritus award from CSUB and a star in the Bakersfield Walk of Stars from the Fox Theater Foundation. Graveside services, officiated by Rabbi Cheryl Rosenstein, will be held Monday, March 22, at 1:00 p.m., at Greenlawn Cemetery on River Blvd. Donations in his memory can be made to Temple Beth El, 2906 Loma Linda Drive, 93305.

Kosakowski, David BAKERSFIELD, Calif. David Kosakowski died March 18, 2010 in Bakersfield, age 61. Formerly of Albany, N.Y. Husband of Dorise Bitton, Bakersfield, Calif. Son of Theresa Kosakowski, Albany, N.Y. and the late Casimir Kosakowski. Also survived by four brothers, Paul of Ohio, Peter and Matthew of N.Y., James of Md., and aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and grandnieces. Predeceased by a sister, Marybeth Kosakowski-Rothstein. Contributions may be made in David's name to any Hospice of your choice
