"NEW POINT, MO.-Louie Edward Fries, 67, died unexpectedly Sunday at his home south of here.
Born near Skidmore, Mo., Mr. Fries was a lifelong resident of Holt county. A veteran of World War II, he was a retired farmer. He belonged to the Shiloh Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Laura Hopkins Fries of the home; one brother, Alvin Fries of Oregon, Mo.; and one nephew.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Pettijohn-Eiser mortuary in Oregon. The Rev. Mike Nichols will officiate. Burial will be in Mount Hope Cemetery, Mound City. Family visitation is from 7 to 9 this evening at the mortuary."
