Jacob married Hannah Maria Straw, daughter of Thomas Straw and Rhoda Trumbull, before 1860 in Hudson, Lenawee County, Michigan. (Hannah Maria Straw was born in May 1831 in New York, died in Nov 1910 in Cambria, Hillsdale County, Michigan and was buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Hiudson, Michigan.)
