"Looking for my ggg grandfather, his wife and/or brother. They are listed in 1870 census for McLeod County, Hale Twp - Mathias was 74, Jemima 64, William would have been abt 50/51 with a wife Katharine/Catharine abt 44/45. In 1870, Mathias still had 2 daughters at home: Lavina and Elnora - these could have been William's daughters...not sure since I can't see a census image, only an index without ages and relationships.
Mathias disappears from records after this census - and Jemima shows up in a poor home in Iowa at least briefly in 1892. So I'm guessing Mathias died sometime between 1870 and 1892.
