A Mass of Christian Burial for Benjamin S. Wilkins was held July 26, 2004 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Enid, Oklah.
Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery, Enid.
Ben Wilkins was born Aug. 8, 1951 in Long Beach, Calif., to Edward and Eileen Sexton Wilkins, and died at his home in Enid Thursday, July 22, 2004, after a lengthy illness.
He attended St. John's Boscoe Catholic School in Long Beach, graduating in 1969. He enjoyed spending many summers at the Sexton farm near Decorah.
October 30, 1981, he married Kathy Allen-Straw in Tulsa, Okla. After living in Tulsa for four years, the couple made their home in Enid, where he owned and operated Snafu Trucking beginning in 1985. He enjoyed being on the road and meeting new friends.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy; one daughter: Samantha Wilkins of Enid; two stepchildren: Junior Straw and wife Melissa Prophet of Oklahoma City and Kristine Straw of Enid; one step-grandchild and his mother, Eileen Wilkins of Decorah.
Benjamin S. Wilkins was preceded in death by his father.
