Homer J. Daigle, 75, of Granville, N.Y., died Saturday, June 4, 2005, at Pleasant Valley Infirmary following an extended illness.
Born Sept. 13, 1929, in Lyndonville, Vt., he was the son of Ernest and Rose Anna (Hamel) Daigle.
Homer was self-employed in the heating and plumbing business for 40 years. He was a veteran of the United States Army and a communicate of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He was predeceased by two children, Linda Daigle Jones, and Gary Daigle; three brothers, Albert Daigle, Lucian Daigle, and Alfred Daigle; and one sister, Betty Straw.
Survivors include his wife, Judith (Carr) Daigle of Granville; six sons, Lawrence Daigle and his wife Linda, Dwayne Daigle and his wife Elaine, Mike Daigle, all of Granville, Todd Daigle of Rhode Island, Mark Daigle and his wife Jean of West Burke, Vt., and Jay Daigle of Tennessee; three daughters, Barbara Arquette and her husband Lyn of Fort Edward, N.Y., Vicky Hale and her husband Steve of Granville, and Karen Campbell and her husband Terry of South Royalton, Vt.; one brother, Ronald Daigle and his wife Rachel of Granville; and 21 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 9 a.m., Monday, at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 23 Bulkley Ave., Granville, with the Rev. Thomas Zelker presiding.
The Rite of Committal will be at Oakwood Cemetery, South Granville. Friends may call from 5-8 p.m., Sunday, at the Robert M. King Funeral Home, 23 Church St., Granville, N.Y.
