Florence Gray passed away on March 23, 2008, Easter Sunday, at Billings Health and Rehabilitation, surrounded by her family.
Florence was born on April 19, 1921, in Stuart, Wyo., to Alexander and Wilhelmine Woods. She graduated from Yoder (Wyo.) High School in 1940. She married Laurence Gray on Sept. 17, 1943, in the First United Methodist Church in Billings. After the death of her husband in 1983, she became very active with the Widow Persons Services. She belonged to various card clubs and learned to play bridge at the age of 65. She loved playing cards. Florence enjoyed church on Sundays and spending time with family. She was full of life and always had a sparkle in her eyes.
She is preceded in death by her husband, three brothers and a granddaughter. Survivors include her sister, Myrtle Thomas of Shawnee Mission, Kan.; sister-in-law, Bessie Woods of Colusa, Calif.; children, Ryan and Sandy Gray of Laurel, Carrol McLean of Billings, Randy and Candy Gray of Albuquerque, N.M., and Delilah and Ed Brown of Billings; stepdaughters, Waunita Kirkpatrick of Scotts Bluff, Neb., and Janice and Jim Roat of Grass Range. Surviving grandchildren include Robbie and Michelle McLean of Wichita, Kan.; Cindy and Bob Brite of Roy, Utah; Greg and Krisstinnia Gray of Billings; Terra and Michael Chirieleison of Leander, Texas; DeeAnn and Jess Engellant of Billings; Heidy Gray of Laurel; Jeff and Jeannette Gray of Florence; and Samantha Brown of Billings. Surviving great-grandchildren include: Ambrosia, Derek and Kaelyn McLean of Wichita, Kan.; Kelsy Strain of Roy, Utah; Brittney, Kalli and Jack Gray of Billings; Naomi and Zakkery Winch of Billings; Miriam Engellant of Billings; and Austin Gray of Florence. She left behind her two precious Shit Tzus: CeCe and Shay.
Cremation has taken place. Services will be held March 28, at the downtown United Methodist Church at 11 a.m.. Luncheon to follow. Internment will be held at a later date.

Florence married Lawrence Truman Gray on 17 Sep 1943 in Billings, Montana. (Lawrence Truman Gray was born on 12 Jan 1912 in Gutherie Center, Iowa and died in Jan 1983 in Billings, Yellowstone County, Montana.)
