Three Rivers; Floyd W. KETCHAM, 81, of Rt. 4, Three Rivers, circuit court probation officer for St. Joseph County died Tuesday evening, Sept. 21, in Three Rivers Hospital.
He was born Nov. 17, 1881, a son of Frank and Hettie (MEEKER) KETCHAM, in Sheridan in Mecosta County, Mich. He had attended schools in Mendon Township.
On June 22, 1916, his marriage to Emeline HEIMBACH was solemnized in Kalamazoo, and the couple has since resided at their present address.
Mr. KETCHAM was active in Grange work for many years. He was a member and former master of the Riverside Grange, and a member and former officer of the St. Joseph County Pomona, the Michigan State and National Granges. He had represented the Riverside Grange on the St. Joseph County Fair Board since 1933.
For 35 years, Mr. KETCHAM served as deputy sheriff and court officer for the county, and has been circuit court probation officer since 1944.
He was a veteran of the Spanish-American War, having served in both Cuba and the Philippines.
Surviving besides his wife is a sister, Mrs. Charles STRAW, of Battle Creek.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday in the Halverson Chapel in Three Rivers with the Rev. Paul Schanzlin, pastor of the First Methodist Church, officiating.
Interment will take place in Moorepark Cemetery.
