LEBANON - Floraine Ruth Stratton, 73, of Lebanon died Tuesday.
She was born in Vancouver, Wash., the daughter of Byron and Nellie (Straw) Jordan. She married Cecil M. Stratton on June 22, 1991, in Toledo. They moved from Waldport to Lebanon to be closer to their daughter, Cheryl.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Lebanon. She was a member of the sewing group and women's auxiliary group.
Mrs. Stratton loved sewing and quilting, gardening and cooking, and camping and picking berries. She enjoyed writing and receiving letters. Her family said they will always remember making maple syrup with her on the East Coast.
Surviving are her husband Cecil of Lebanon; children Cheryl Waltemate of Tangent, Jamie Stratton of Vancouver, Wash., Ronald Pellett of Missoula, Mont., Cindy Dishaw of Massena, N.Y., Jonathan Stratton of Portland and Mark Pellett of Reno, Nev.; 12 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First United Methodist Church in Lebanon. Huston-Jost Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
