Grace Straw, 80, died Nov. 25, 2011, at Indian River Medical Center in Vero Beach.
She was born in Everett, Mass., and lived in Silver Spring, Md., and was a winter resident of Vero Beach for 14 years.
Before retirement, she worked as an occupational therapist in a private practice.
Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James; daughter, Sharon Straw Thomas of Fairfax, Va.; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her son, Ashley Straw.
