Fagan, William P. Jr. TROY William P. Fagan Jr., 81, of Troy, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 21, 2007 at St. Peter's Hospital. He is the son of the late William P. and Anna M. (Cross) Fagan Sr. and the husband of the late Eileen M. (Mang-ione) Fagan and the late Diana M. (Miller) Fagan. Bill graduated from CBA in 1944 and served his country in the U.S. Marines during World War II, serving in the South Pacific and Guam. He was a member of the Albany Police Department for 38 years from January 1950 to February 1988. Bill is survived by his daughter Linda M. (Edward) Borowsky; his granddaughter, Amber (Raymond, III) Hyam; his stepdaughter, Donna (Mark) Stevens, granddaughter Shannon Stevens; his stepson, Scott (Carolyn) Miller, granddaughters, Autumn Miller and Dara Miller; stepson Garret (Margo) Miller and grandson Gavin Miller. Bill is also survived by his brother, Christopher (Fran) Fagan; three nieces, three nephews and their families. Bill was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church, Troy, life member and past commander of Sheehy-Palmer VFW Post #6776 of Albany, life member of the Knights of Columbus, member of Ancient Order of Hibernians, life member of the American Legion of Wynantskill, member of Albany BPOE, Retired Public Employees Association Inc., Retired Police Association of the State of New York, Inc., member of East Side Senior Citizen and member of and did volunteer work with S.O.S. (Singles Outreach Services). Bill will always be remembered as a man who had a kind word for everyone and embodied the true meaning of the word "gentleman". His family and friends will miss Bill's sense of humor and generosity to all. Bill's family would like to thank the staff of St. Peter's ICU for their excellent care of Bill and their compassionate treatment of the family. The funeral for Bill will be held Thursday morning at 10:30 at the Wm. Leahy Funeral Home, 336 Third Street, Troy, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at Sacred Heart Church at 11:00 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 3 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Troy.
