LEO E BOLIEK
Wilmington, Del - Leo E Boliek, 101, died Apr 16 1995, at Ingleside Care Center in Hockessin. Born in 1893 in Orkney Springs, VA he was a graduate in 1915 of Lenoir Rhyne College in Hickory, NC.
He did graduate work at the University of North Carolina, taught high school and became a high school prinipcal in North Carolina.
He was a veteran of World War I, having served in France and Italy and after the war he studied law, bcame a member of the NC bar and was a legal advisor in the Veteran's Administration in Washington, DC for 33 years.
Before retiring 50 years ago, he taught Veterans law classes at American University, and was an avid history scholar and taught Latin and History.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Laura Bolick, and his second wife Josephine Bolick.
Survivors include a son and daughter in law, John and Carolyn Boliek of Hockessin; three stepdaughters, Joann Schilling of Washington, DC; Patricia Hoyt of Tampa, FL; and Susan Phillips of Gainesville, Fl. Two grandchildren; Andrew Bolick and Alison Boliek of Hockessin and several nieces, nephews and step grandchildren.
Services were to be held in Saginaw, Michigan.
