Lois A. Coats, 93, passed away November 13, 2011. Lois was born May 21, 1918, in Nodaway County, Mo., to Thomas and Basha Fries. She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Coats; two sons, Gary and Ronnie Coats and granddaughter, Debbie Coats Bond. Lois is survived by her daughter, Barbara and husband Bill Walton; son, Lynn and wife Sandy Coats; sister, Edie and husband Charles Hamilton; seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren and 10 great-great grandchildren; two daughters-in-law, Kathy Coats and Juanita Coats; sister- in-law, Wilma and husband John Mulder, nieces and nephews, all who loved her very much. Funeral service is 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 17, at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home; with visitation beginning at 10 a.m. prior to the service on Thursday.
