COLLINS, Peter - Passed suddenly away at his residence in Southern Harbour on Thursday, March 28, Peter Collins in his 87th year. Pre-deceased by his daughter Mary. Left with loving memories, wife Agnes; five sons: Michael (Teresa), Doug (Betty), Peter (Rose), Joe (Joyce), Ig (Esther); four daughters: Bernadette Whiffen (Pat), Clara Leonard (Jack), Jean Ryan (Tom), Anita Hapgood (Grayson); thirty-one grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; one brother John and sister-in-law Mary; three nieces, Margaret, Marie, Josephine and nephew Joseph. Funeral service was held Saturday at 2 p.m. from Christ the King Church followed by interment at the R.C. Cemetery. Peter married Agnes Mary Hynes, daughter of William Joseph Hynes and Mary White. (Agnes Mary Hynes was born on 19 May 1917 in Prowston, Newfoundland, died on 3 Jan 1992 in St. Clare's Hospital- Newfoundland and was buried in R. C. Cemetery - Southern Harbor, Newfoundland.)
