Cecilia Ann Gambin
(Bailey) Jerseyside (formerly of Little Harbour West). It is with broken hearts the family of Cis Gambin announce her peaceful passing after a short, courageous battle with cancer on February 6, 2008, at the age of 65. Reunited in the loving arms of her predeceased parents, Leo and Alice Bailey; sister Barbara; twin sisters in infancy; mother and father-in-law, Cornelius and Florence Gambin; and sister-in-law Mary Greene. Left with precious memories are her devoted husband and best friend of 45 years, Dan; her loving daughters: Darlene (Mike Mullaley) and Sheila Taylor; and her two proud sons: Des (Sadie) and Gary (Lisa); six treasured grandchildren: Brad (Melanie), Michelle, Amy (her father Rick Taylor), Sara, Allie and Gracie; also leaving two loving brothers: Bill (Imelda - also Dan's sister) and Len (Joanne); one special sister, Shirley (Jim Monroe); brothers-in-law: Leo (Julia), Cornelius (Madeline) and John (Anita); sisters-in-law: Til (Frank Traverse), Winnie (Ed Barry) and Veronica (Ron Grover). Missing her warm smile are many special nieces and nephews, as well as a large circle of close family and friends. Visitation to be held at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia, Friday, February 8th 12-4 p.m. and 6-9 p.m. A celebration of life and Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia on Saturday, February 9th at 11:00 a.m. Christian burial to follow at the Father Dermot McGettigan Memorial Cemetery.
