Passed peacefully on February 28, 2016 at Placentia Health Centre, Veronica Connors, in her 92nd year.
Predeceased by her husband Michael; parents John and Matilda Lake; brothers Albert, John, Dan, Matthew, and Peter; and sisters Betsy and Flora.
Leaving to mourn with fond memories her children Bernadette (Brian Granville), Paddy (Gail Kielly), Peter (Mary) and Alice; grandchildren Kelsey and Allison Granville, and Sarah Connors; sisters-in-law Margaret Connors and Julia Greene; a very special niece, Matilda Traverse; as well as a large circle of relatives and friends.
Visitation will take place at Maher's Funeral Home, Placentia, on Tuesday, March 1st from 2pm-4pm and 7pm- 9pm. Mass of Christian Burial to take place 11am at Sacred Heart Church, Placentia, on Wednesday, March 2nd. Interment to follow at Mount Carmel Cemetery, Placentia.

Veronica married Michael "Mike" Connors, son of Sylvester Connors and Elizabeth "Betsy" Houlihan. (Michael "Mike" Connors was born in 1919 in Merasheen Island, Placentia Bay, Newfoundland, died on 4 Jul 2005 and was buried in Mount Carmel Cemetery - Placentia, Newfoundland.)
